Children 12 and Under
Children ages 12 and under must be registered at the door and must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times. If a child is found without supervision, the supervising adult will be ejected from the convention.

The Nerd & Tie Expo is an event geared towards teens and adults. Events are often not appropriate or very interesting for small children. Children under the age of six will be admitted for free, but this is offered only as a courtesy to attendees who may have to bring along small children.

Refund Information
Request for withdrawal of a completed registration may be made until one month before the convention. After that date, no requests can be made to refund or cancel payment. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If we have not reached our attendance cap, Attendees may still register at the door.

Harassment Policy
Nerd & Tie is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

Photography
You are allowed to take photos in most convention spaces. Photography or video recordings of Artist or Vendor tables requires the express permission of said artist or vendor.

Please do not use flash photography during panels or events. If you wish to take video or record an event, please ask permission beforehand. Panelists may decide to disallow photography, video or audio recording from their event.

Please try to ask politely before taking photographs or recordings of others attending the Nerd & Tie Expo. Photography or video recording that makes another attendee uncomfortable may be in violation of the Nerd & Tie Expo harassment policy.

Nerd & Tie reserves the right to photograph and/or video tape you for its own use while you are in the convention space, and reserves the right to use that image in official convention materials.

Weapons
The Nerd & Tie Expo has a “no live steel” policy. Blades longer than three inches are prohibited from the convention space, and carrying one is grounds for immediate expulsion. Any bladed weapons purchased at the convention must be immediately removed from the convention space once they leave the vendor booth. Functional firearms are strictly prohibited from the convention. Realistic weapon props are subject to inspection by staff.

Additional Terms
By registering for the Nerd & Tie Expo you are agreeing to abide by the rules and policies set forth by Nerd & Tie while in the convention space. We reserve the right to, at our discretion, refuse service to and/or eject without refund any person not following convention policies or being disruptive to the convention.
